newtype OS has two versions: an integrated version and a standalone plugin version.
What I built first was the standalone plugin version, that is, a plugin developed based on oh-my-opencode. But the plugin form has quite a few limitations. For example, it can conflict with other plugins in OpenCode because they share the same configuration file; there are also some functions I wanted to implement that a plugin simply couldn’t support.
So later on, I built the integrated version, which brings OpenCode in directly. That gives it its own separate configuration file. Use OpenCode + oh-my-opencode for programming, and the integrated version of newtype OS for content creation—each doing its own thing. In addition to integrating OpenCode, I also integrated WeClaw, so it can connect to WeChat.
So if everyone wants to use it, I’d recommend the integrated version first.
