newtype has gone fully CLI-based. It’s no longer To Human, but To Agent.
newtype is a Multi-Agent Content Team. Through the command line, any Agent (for example, your lobster) can call this outsourced content team.
For example, nt research “MCP vs CLI” can call the Researcher and Fact-checker Agents to complete research on the specified topic. Add –depth deep to let them do in-depth research; add –focus to have them focus on a certain aspect; add –no-fact-check to skip fact-checking and speed things up, and so on.
I’ve also prepared a SKILL document, which is basically an instruction manual for Agents, teaching them how to invoke newtype. In the next couple of days I’ll set up a GitHub repo and put the SKILL document and README in there.
Also, I created a newtype-os scope on npm. The plugin and the bundled version are both in this package repo, called @newtype-os/plugin and @newtype-os/cli respectively. So the installation command becomes: npm i -g @newtype-os/cli, or bun i -g @newtype-os/cli. If there’s a problem installing, just delete the previous one.
