Where AI Should and Shouldn’t Be Used

AI is leverage, so we should focus on things that cannot be leveraged—judgment, and the first round of deduction.

Behind judgment are taste and models. Taste decides what is worth pursuing, while models decide how to understand causality. These two things cannot be outsourced, because they are “you” yourself.

The first round of deduction also cannot be handed off entirely. Good deduction is not just “diluting for the sake of dissemination”; it is an extension of judgment—refining judgment in the output. Writing is a tool for thinking, not just a tool for communication.

But the things after deduction—format adaptation, style variants, distribution—those are purely leverage areas and can be completely handed over to AI.

Content creators fixate on words, programmers fixate on code; both are treating the tool as the end. Whether it is words, or the emotions within words, they are all just carriers.

Politicians can have many faces, and the Buddha can have 38,000 Dharma gates; it is the same principle.
