Why should we pay attention to and try OpenCode and oh-my-opencode?
Because the big AI trend in 2026 is “parallel multi-agent.” To put it simply, we used to harvest corn with sickles. This year, we’ll be driving combine harvesters and becoming farm owners. We are not staring at one Agent writing code; we are managing 10 to 12 Agents working in parallel.
OpenCode and oh-my-opencode are strong contenders that emerged from the community. The oh-my-opencode plugin is essentially something that gives OpenCode powerful orchestration capabilities (Orchestrator). For example, it has a built-in Sisyphus Agent, specifically responsible for backend grunt work, context management, and task distribution.
This is the initial stage of the “self-made form” I predicted in a video a year ago—although it is still a man-made shell, the inside has already started to orchestrate itself.
And to understand these things, you have to use them yourself; otherwise, you won’t have any intuitive sense of it.
