What ordinary people should learn most is not how to start an account or chase traffic, but how to make themselves “not ordinary.”
You’re ordinary because your environment is too ordinary—for example, the family you were born into simply can’t support you, and may even drag you down. So once you wake up to that, the first thing you should prioritize is:
Re-cultivating yourself.
Start with the most basic things. Forget everything school, family, and society taught you, and rebuild your understanding of the real world by reading books (and now you even have AI to help you). For example, history and finance: you need to know how human society has developed and how it works.
This is “looking outward.” At the same time, you also have to “seek inward.” Keep looking inward, examine yourself often, and face every side of yourself, especially the worst, darkest side.
Looking outward and seeking inward are both about getting closer to the truth: the real world, the real self.
I started doing this in 2010. I believe this is the only way out for a small-town young person like me to break free from destiny.
